Chelsea Wills is a socially engaged artist. She works with ideas of place, change, and story. She uses participatory methods to work with communities in collaborative ways. Her training as an educator and community organizer informs many of the practices she uses working with people. She holds an MA in Education from UC Berkeley and a BFA from UC Santa Cruz. Her projects have been shown at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Jose Museum of Art, the Mary Porter Sesnon Gallery, and internationally as part of the London Biennale, COMEXUS, Casa Hilvana, and Teatro Felipe Carillo Puerto.
